Everyday communication works, until it doesn't. When opinions differ, or what two people want is at odds, talk can quickly become emotional. Growing frustration can lead to words that hurt—all to prove one's point. There is a better way. A straightforward approach is needed. That includes: defusing emotions when necessary, asking the right question at the right time, saying what we mean in a way to be heard, knowing how to set limits, and when to walk away. This workshop takes a realistic and emotionally mature look at the words that move everyday disagreement into a civil discussion (without argument).
